Demo of the Strymon Brigadier Delay Pedal

Info from Strymon:

"In setting out to design the Brigadier, we decided to take a super powerful SHARC DSP and dedicate it to doing one thing and one thing only ... delivering the best analog bucket brigade delay sound ever. As a result of having the entire DSP dedicated to doing one extremely high quality effect, we are able to concentrate on every last detail that makes an analog delay special. No stone has been left unturned ... every single bucket is recreated in the Brigadier with our new dBucket algorithm. And, since we're doing all of this without regular old bucket brigade chips, you get all the tone and none of the noise (unless of course you choose to add it back in with our exclusive "bucket loss" control ... yes!). We feel like we've created something very special, and we hope you will too."

This is a really great delay pedal! I found it to have some really great The Edge sounds and some awesome Gilmour-esque delay.

  • are you playing Hillsong

  • @kork777 yeah I guess I was there at the beginning

  • It seems like everything that comes out of that pedal sounds incredibly "chill". Just listening to the demo makes me feel relaxed and sleepy (in a good way). Very soft and gentle delays. I really like this one!

  • @libertyfalls I totally agree! This first time I plugged this in I just sat and played random stuff for like half an hour because it sounded so relaxing and good!

  • /watch?v=bKVqXEd2TvU

    thats my vid of brigadier

  • @5150VanAlien I guess you and I just disagree on this one. I don't see most effects as being genre-specific. Might I suggest you add the T.C. Electronic Nova Delay to your list? Guitar Center carries this pedal so you can try it before you buy it. I had one and absolutely loved it.

  • @digitrixster I know that however, some delay pedals are better suited to specific genres. I'm thinking of buying this or the new Maxon Analogue delay series AD999....check them out. They're the size of a house brick...Peace dude!

  • @5150VanAlien It's a delay pedal, man. Play something - clean, metal, indie rock, synth pop, whatever - and it will repeat it. :)

  • Dude, could you use this pedal for modern metal or is it better tuned to cleaner tones.
