TODAY I ACHIEVED MY FIRST CROSS ANKLE RELEASE. I'm so darn thrilled. I'm still horrendous at the basic invert and can't get back the inverted thigh hold or the advanced plank (even though I've done them before!) but still, cross ankle release, guys. The very first one--a total accident--happens at 3:02.

Also, a question for dancers: What the hell am I doing at 2:15? Is that a move? Is that a version of a move?

The music is "Spinning Wheel," by Blood, Sweat, and Tears.

  • @ViciousVixen1369 Haha, it's no problem. I haven't tried either, actually. Since it's cold now, I don't have as much trouble with sweatiness, but if it's an issue when it gets warmer, I'll definitely look into the itac. Thank you!

  • you should really use itac or some sort of grip it would make these moves a lot easier.

  • @ViciousVixen1369 I actually do have Mighty Grip, but I rarely use it. The inherent sweatiness of my hands seriously conquers everything. My theory is that if I get strong enough, it won't matter too much whether I'm sweaty or not....

  • @verticalme Thanks! That's a really clever technique. I feel pretty comfortable with the cross knee plank, but whenever I try to lean back for the release, I suddenly feel like I have too many legs. I have to take a couple of days off from practice because my skin is kind of a mess, but when I get back to it I'll definitely try your way!
