  • Hey xxxjoemanxxx, try a bigger hook, like a wide gap hook made for soft plastics. I find the small hooks don't work well with these plastic shrimp...

  • @tystick22 I cought a big bull red out offshore in 125 ft of water off the R2 navy tower that weighed about 70-80lbs. It took me and my dad both to grab a gill and get him out to get the hook out. His head was the size of mine haha. Seriously the biggest red my dad and I have ever seen.

  • You need to buy some Red Wigglers

  • im fishing inshore like 3 foot deep water and massive reds everywhere at night. i texas rig a 4" gulp shrimp and they r hitting it like CRAZY and i cant hook them. i rigged it right but its not hooking them. they would take my line then next thing i know there off. i was getting so frustrated cuz i could see all of them chasing it and eating it. what can i do so it hooks them better and i need something weedless cuz they r in the grass beds. what should i do cuz i coulnt catch one fish.

  • Thanks Jose! Used this bait rigging technique when we went down to Gulf Shores and we filled the boat with Speckled trout and redfish . We went thru like 8 to 10 packages of these Gulp shrimp in 11 hours. We bought all of the popular colors and I just happened to grab a couple of rootbeer gold and that was the ticket. Wow! They work better than real shrimp for sure.

  • sorry thought u were talkin bout reds and the world record sheepshead is only around 17lbs

  • redfish get up to 60lbs

  • @Dano78229 They don't grow that big. It was most likely a black drum, they get huge easily and can easily be mistaken for sheedshead at times.

  • they do down in Texas man.

  • @Dano78229 i dont think they grow that big even
