He's playing the Lemon Song by Led Zeppelin! Go listen to it. It's a blues bass masterpiece, much like all of Zeppelin's music which are masterpieces.

Real nice woody tone very close to my '64 Very nice clean execution and timing.

It is very similar to the "lemon song" which itself is a rip-off from a early blues standard called "killing floor"recorded a decade or more before Zep "sampled/borrowed"it. Zeps first album was comprised of mostly"re-worked"blues standards which is how they managed to go out or tour without even having a album or a released single as of yet, they just did alot of Yardbirds stuff from before and after the Jimmy Page era. I being a HUGE Zep fan was a little put-off at first but it faded fast.

@herrdruhl You can put one together using all OEM Fender USA parts for about half that all day long.

A list price of over $5,000 is absurd for this instrument. I built one with all factory Fender USA parts, electronics and a nitro finish for less than $800 including a new tweed G&G case and final setup by one of the best luthiers in the country.

That bass sounds incredible. Great playing, man.

Hey Fender, here's an idea, Make all your P basses this way, offer a variety of colors and pickguard options, and sell em for about $1800. C'mon, whatdayya say???

@bssprofundo I think the "ladies" gauge comments refers to the light gauge strings. However, remember these are Pino's choice. Can anyone argue with that?
