I don't believe aunt can force niece to marry someone, real crazy and doesn't make sense. In thai society is there such real case?

Umm...I guess it's possible because in the older days, parents like to force their daughters or sons to marry someone rich, respectable, etc...but I guess it happens in western society too..not nowadays, lol but many hundred years back.

@swtannenat there the simple face the police well not interfere in 'family' matters it why domestic abuse is so rampant in a lot of Asian counties, Law and culture coming into conflict and sadly most of the time culture wins out.

@bjharm1 yes, that's true, most of the times they think that it's a family problem so it's not good for them to interfere. But I think that if it gets too violent, then the police will get involve but sometimes the wife (or anyone who's being abused) they don't report it to the police.

lol! it's a thai drama thing ^_^ but if you get to see her older lakorns, there's not much raping in it :)
