  • The D3000 was a bit of a lame-duck of a camera. Pay the extra few £/$ and buy the D3100.

OK it is a "starter DSLR" camera. But for simply more bang's for you bucks it can't be beaten.

  • @71shoelover Didnt exist when i bought my D3000..

  • hey... I just ordered one I was wondering if I need a memory card? could someone tell ne please? or does it save on the camera?

  • @TheCrungler Ofcourse u need a Mermory Card.. an SD HC 8 gb at least.

I got that one because i bought a kit, with 2 lens, cleaning kit, memoery card, extra battery, and a Nikon Case..

  • I got my Nikon D3000 4 months ago. And now I feel I need to get a new lens. But, I dont know what to get. Was the 55-200 mm lens your second lens after your 18-55 ? I have no idea what to do ? :(

  • @Jubiczx It came together, bought it at amazon.com.

Came with Camera Body, 18-55mm DX VR, 55-200mm DX Non-Vr, cleaning kit, 8gb SDHC card, card reader, extra battery, and a Nikon original Bag..

i would recomend to buy the 55-200mm VR!

  • how do you adjust it to shoot like this

  • @warachito

    I had a D3000, there wasn't a D3100 when I got it. It's done supremely well over the years I had it.

  • It sounds like a train!!

  • @warachito Don't get me wrong Nikon don't make ANY rubbish DSLR Camera's. But the D3000 could have been better in so many ways. There are still unsold examples of the D3000 almost a Year and a Half after the last one was made...What does that tell you about the D3000.It's replacement the D3100 is a "Class leader" With lots more "Stuff" on the camera. The D3100 is the camera the D3000 should have been.

  • Leave any DSLR like you will ruin the whole damn camera.

  • I also tried an SDHC class 4 and I was able to take 35 pictures before the buffer slowed down, so the card is alright as long is a SDHC. You can shoot in RAW+B if you don't want to lose detail or if you are not sure about your exposure but you will take only 5 pictures. Good luck and good lighting.

  • The problem is with the Active D-Lighting. Just turn it off and set the image quality to fine with a large size and you have lots of detail and also you can use the burst mode to take 30 pictures in a row, even more. I also have a SDHC class 10, I don't know if it helps a lot.

  • What lens is that ?
