its bite is realllly good considering its a smallllllll engine. less than one liter. ya gotta consider for that time. 60 hp from 1 litre four 4t was reallllly good. a mg midget for the late 60s got 60 hp 70 hp from 1275 in street trim i think. because the 948 sprite only had 43 for that time. so 39 hp in a motor that small for that time is damn good.
