Following the installation of the new ham radio tower, we hung two antennas at the top. This includes a Diamond A502HB and a Mosley TA-33-JR-WARC. The combination will cover 6-10-12-15-17-20 meter amateur radio bands.
Hope it all works great. That was a fair bit of work getting the tower up. What coax are you using. ?. Thinking on loss v gain on the antennas down to the station set up.?. 73 de John. in UK.
@JohnMC894 It was some work, but we saved a fortune doing the work instead of contracting it out. I'm fortunate in having a friend who does tower work for a living. For coax, I'm using Davis BuryFlex for the long runs, with a short whip of ultraflex at the rotor end. It's all RG8 sized, up to about three feet from the back of the radio. Inside the shack is just RG8x jumpers. At HF, there's not much loss in 150 feet of RG8.
@carguytoyota Used bead balun on the coax. Seems to work, but I don't have any other installation to compare it too. The best antenna I have is always the one I'm using, hi hi!
I would have used a Steppir (they're made near here), but the SSV tower wouldn't support that wind load at 100'. I needed the 100' height to clear local terrain.

I am using a ferrite choke on the coax, just below the antenna.
