  • great fly!,im gonna tye this one myself, just wondering, exactly how does the nylon help protect the cly?am i missing something? or is it only to ty in the hackle from the back when your thread is at the front of the fly? thanks! 5/5!

  • Hi m1garand77,

The nylon will protect both hackle and body material as well it will not rot like say if you used a wire rib which would rust...

    Thanks for the 5*****

    All the best Davie

  • I tie a similar fly, it's alot like yours, before you added the brown hackle. Except I used a ton of Krystal Flash. The green and orangey kind. I use it for crappie at my fave park lake, caught a 17 incher there.

  • Is the fly going to swim, hook point up or down?

  • top man, great detail as in all your flies, any chance you could do a fly for seatrout fishing in an estuary as im in donegal and rivers are closed in the area. thanks and if you could do 1 it would be.tied alot of your trout flies but havent tried them yet, will do in the next few months and let you know how they go

  • You are the man!

  • that fly just looks like done fish food. Well done my friend.
