'Aujourd'hui C'est Toi' - BBC 'Panorama' theme

From the 1966 soundtrack of 'Un Homme Et Un Femme' ('A man and a woman'), the instrumental version of 'Aujourd'hui C'est Toi', by Francis Lai.
Although credited as the being the famous BBC 'Panorama' theme, still in use after 40 years, the actual theme seems to have been 'adapted' from it - melody added and timing of chord changes altered perhaps to accomodate new melody.
So, all the more interesting to hear the striking piece that inspired it..

Youre welcome! Bet you'd recognise the main theme tune of the film - was an Easy listening classic in its time.. He went on to do the 'Love story' music in 1970.

interesting to know where it comes from but this version seems to lack the chilling urgency of the bbc version.a double a side with the 'world in action' theme tune would be good,i would buy it.

I have owned about 4 copies of this score through the years since I was a kid listening to soundtracks. Timeless.

The fact that this same theme was used to suggest SRS BSNS for a British current-affairs program says something about the French attitude towards love.
