This was a terrific program, but it's true that some of the steps were on the easy side. Nevertheless, I'd have them a bit higher - Grushina/Goncharov 9th, L/T 10th, and the Russians 11th.

What a performance!

american commentators always give wrong comments, because they themself never skated and can not understand what it means.

this couple is not for competition, they are only for show. therefor they were never even close to world-top skaters.

Tschernyshev is amazing! :)

I agree. This team was so underrated it was unbelievable. I honestly prefer them to Belbin and Agosto, yet Belbin and Agosto somehow skyrocket to the top. This team has just as great of technique, speed, and fundamentals as Belbin and Agosto but more polish and a better look too.

This couple should have been in the top five going into the free dance. Underscored, undermarked, and unappreciated are the words to describe this beautiful program. They were, from the start, to play the role of step kids in the eyes of the judges and I hated it. From start to finish they held their own and accomplished what many from the U.S. didn't...a spot on the Olympic team. Congratulations.
I miss them so much! It always made me mad how underrated they were. Here at these Olympics they should have been at least top 8 going into the FD. I loved their style- prefer them over Belbin and Agosto anyday.

The ice dancing judging at the olympics has a history of being questionable.
