A memorial concert was held at the McDavid Studio in Fort Worth, TX Sunday, May 17th, 2009 in honor of Stephen Bruton. Musicians who were friends of Stephen got together to play in honor of the Fort Worth native. This is a performance of one of his originals, "Too Many Memories" off the album "What It Is". Dave Millsap and Lewis Stephens, who both perform on this song, are the two responsible for putting the memorial together. Yoggie Musgrove, who was part of Bruton's band, came towards the end of the benefit, and closed it out with the band, playing all Bruton compositions.

  • Stephen was a truly beautiful human being......Maybe too beautiful to stay here..

  • I love this song. Definately 5***** for you putting that benefit together. Stephen, we miss you. RIP

  • I like this song - though until today I never heard of him.

By my email friend Cindy I heard about his death. That also makes me very sad.

May all his songs live forever.

    Ruhe in Frieden Stephen .

  • I just today learned of Stephen's death a month ago. It's very, very sad to learn this.
