  • why aren't there any clips of the comic plot of this play in this trailer?

  • @etherealangel712 Unfortunately we only had the budget to shoot for six days. Also, the comic plot would have been very hard to adapt in a believable, non-campy way. So I stuck with just the Beatrice-Johanna and De Flores story in the adaptation.

  • MIddleton's Changeling is having a good time. Ray Winston adapted it as a modern TV drama (with Parminder Nagra) which if anything is even nastier, sleazier, and probably even better than the original. This looks better than the Marcus Thompson film, but all three look better than the Clint Eastwood.

  • Thanks for the tip on the Ray Winston movie, I didn't know about it at all. I can't wait to see it. The 1974 BBC TV version with Helen Mirren recently made it to DVD in the US. The Marcus Thompson one hasn't made it over here yet, but from what I've heard about it perhaps that's for the best?

  • IS this based on the Book, by K D Lathan?

  • It's based on the play by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley
