Thank you so much for providing us with such high quality raw milk!! It's great that you took the time to show how proud you are of your business practice and how much you value the quality product you provide. I would also love to see your milk in glass, please.

@TheMinistryOfDefense Step in what, the bullshit about #2 plastic?
I agree, glass is best.
-
#2 can't be trusted, don't step in it either.
-
I am interested in learning about what happens to the cows calves after birth. How long do they get to stay with their mother? What do you do with the bull calves?
-
@TheMinistryOfDefense It's cool, they use #2 plastic...so you can relax now

You need to get the milk OUT of plastic containers and back into
glass containers. New findings will horrify readers, about how
the plastic used in those containers is extremely toxic, and
leaches into the food and drinks, especially drinks like milk.
(Look it up) Everyone, this is a priority, make your local dairy
aware that you will buy a goat if they wont give you a glass option.

@organicpastures i was not accusing you of any of the above (enclosing etc), i was simply saying that there is no way one cow would get that much attention from one person at milking. if you would like to read my comment again, i said 'i do love the idea of a large organic herd though. very impressed.' as in i am impressed with what you are doing. also, thankyou for you're offer i would love to come and visit, not because i dont believe what you've told me, (because i do apart from the milking)
-
but because as i said i love the idea of what you are doing and would love to learn what i can on my visit. however i am a uni student in the uk at the moment so i shall call you in a few years when i can afford it

hahahahaha! what a load of bollocks! theres no way youd spend that long attending to onone cow at milking on a large dairy you have 2 people in the parlour(s) and one person preps and strips teats at around 30 seconds of the cow entering the parlour and the other dries and applies clusters at around 60 seconds but the actual attention to each cow is altogether around 15 seconds not the one minute 10 he did!! i do love the idea of a large organic herd though. very impressed.

@1anon8 We would love for to come and see our milking process! You will see that it is a very tedious and long process for us to milk our cows! Being the only raw and organic dairy in California we take great pride in ensuring that our milk is healthy and delicious every time; to get this every time we have to ensure that we go through every step thoroughly and accurately. Call 1 877 RAW MILK for more information!!

we will have to see what the housing for the winter is like and know the details of the herd eg MOPF and fertility rates etc (long list that i cant be bothered to write goes here) to tell how good and efficient (or bad and inefficient) it really is

@1anon8 Our cows are on green pasture 365 days a year. They are free to roam and never enclosed. Our cows are never artificially inseminated, only nature here! We are also the only California dairy that is Animal Welfare Approved for our exceptional care of our cows. Check out our website for more information!!
