  • You get more surface contact.

  • If you have just 2 wires then you can usually get away with this. If you have move than two you will find that one wire always wants to come loose. If you twist the wires , none can come loose. You will work for get rich quick contractors who do not look at Safety. Remember what you are doing effects someone living in that home fire wise for the life of that home. At sometime in your career you are going to take apart a hot connection, with untwisted wires, they just fly apart. Do it right.

  • @SChoolsFaOl Screw holding tight wire and there is no risk to the sparks especially in voltage 120V.

  • Thank you for the great video.

Why is it better to put the wire on the screw?

  • PS don't forget to extend your box forward of the stud to the size of your drywall (3/8" or 1/2"). If you don't, you will not be able to put your switch plate on and probably won't be able to get to your switch very easily.

  • I love this guy! Straight to the point. He's funny too!

  • Thanks! I can wire my garage now.
