OK I'll be quick about this:
Journey is wrong; replace it with Kansas.
Dream Theater is not #3.
Pink Floyd and King Crimson should trade places.
Replace Opeth with either Shadow Gallery or Symphony X.
Switch out Jethro Tull for Jadis or Marillion in order to represent the UK neo-prog scene.
And for some reason, ELP, LTE, and Porcupine Tree are missing...
Oh, and you overlooked my band! (but we're not too well established yet, so that can be forgiven for now...)
Oh yeah, and fuck WMG

Lol I remember this video when it had music

Well Tool has been my favorite band since the mid 90's. Any Mastadon fans out there?

I dont think the list has that many mistakes, it doesnt say anywhere that it is specifically about progressive METAL I think its very general. The only one I disagree has to be Journey, they are not entirely prog and they are not the best among the prog related bands
-
I'll be quick, tool, journey, and pink floyd are not progressive metal to me.

@Leigh2803 haha! I thought I was the only one that noticed that. oh well, still pretty cool pictures. Although I would have loved to see a picture of Anderson, Bruford, Howe, Squire, and Wakeman. :)

Journey might not be a progressive rock band, but some of their music has progressive elements...Songs such as "Daydream" and "One More" Definitively have a prog sound, not to mention the Dream after Dream CD... as well as the first three albums... They are listed on the Prog archives website as "Prog Related"....Opeth has a Body of work that stands as progressive rock on it's own, without any hint of death metal... especially their latest CD.

@ZachValkyrie You know I've never understood why Marillion is described as Neo-Progressive, because they sound more like New Wave.
I don't mean to offend, but if you listen to Marillion then listen to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, King Krimson, Yes, Camel, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd or Van Der Graaf Generator.
Marillion sounds like Poppy New Wave.
I'm just saying
you have to be new in this of progressive rock. you have to listening, read and learn much more first. then do a list of top ten, but nice try!!!!
first, you have to understand what mean progressive rock, and wich bands are prog, journey it's not prog....and if you includes opeth, then you have to include many other bands of prog death metal, like cynic.... and king crimson, yes, genesis, always first!!! don't forget ELP....

@YetInue man that its my opinion....you should be more humble and listening to the suggestions they gave you, when you grow up and listen to more music, you'll understand us.....take it as an advice.....

@yiyorimz Humble? You're the one who's not being humble, unable to accept other persons opinions and stating them to be wrong. Second, these are not my choices, they were made by a friend, 3 years ago (Is not hard at all to look at the date and description of a video, if you're going to take the time to write a comment like yours).
