I remember this show very well. I was standing on the sidewalk when UT pulled up in their robins-egg blue Dodge van. They hit the back of the Replaceements tour bus. Knocked out both UT headlights. When they piled out it was the band + Brian Henneman and 2 guys from Rockville Records--and all the gear. No trailer It was my first time hearing them and it blew me away. After the show they drove off into the dark with no headlights. On their way to South Carolina I believe. Unreal.
Classically good in the most delightful way imaginable. Thank for sharing your footage. ...favorites!

I had to get used to Jeff Tweedy singing that high.
Guess Jay didn't need two low-register tenors in Tupelo.

The line "and every star that hides on the back of the bus
Is just waiting for its cover to be blown" from We've Been Had are in reference to the Replacements

Label this song as "Gun" so people can find it.

I was at this show, too... I have a great picture of Paul outside, and some random guy also - maybe it is one of you!

I wonder if Paul Westerberg wrote off Jeff as just another 90s fad...Jeff sang a lot like Paul back in the UT days.
