Taken from seat 17A on a Boeing 757-200 operating as Continental flight 110 from Newark Liberty International Airport to Cologne, Germany. As the video starts, you can see runway 11/29 to the left, followed by our runway (22R) as we turn on to it. Finally, look for the Continental jet landing on runway 22L.

  • Do you remember what date this video was taken because then i can go online and find the tail #. If have an interest in the tail number because I fly on continental 757's alot

  • @red07313 Actually, yes: April 4, 2008!

  • I never thought 757's were designed to be flown overseas.

  • @MTLTV1765 They weren't, but the 757-200s that have the aftermarket winglets installed have a range of about 4,000 miles, which can get them from the airports in the northeastern US as far as central Europe. However, depending on the headwinds heading westbound back to the US, and if there are any delays in landing, they may have to make a refueling stop somewhere between the tip of Canada and New York. This happened to me once on a direct flight from Berlin...

  • Great video but I wish you would have moved the camera towards the winglet to capture the scenery as the plane banked left. But still, good video.

  • @NJAceSgt I wanted to, but the window for my seat was forward far enough that I could only get this angle :-(

  • @red07313 No, unfortunately because of the particular gate it was parked at I couldn't get a good view of the tail...

  • Wonderfrul video. I love watching planes takeoff from Newark. Is there anyway you remember the tail number of this plane?
