guys this may work but it will destroy the warranty and it will cause the E79 so have fun
-
ye i think the towels heat up the xbox and like get it very hot and then you leave it ot dry and then it resets the hole console
-
i believe the towel trick completely resets your console, therefore your console needs re-find what was wrong with it in the first place. That's why it's only temporary. Peace Out, Mates!

i winder if this trick still works if my xbox was broken for 4 years with the 3 red lights of death??????

at this point, it's probably worth a shot
can't take the blame if it doesn't work, but hey, if it's broken to start with, it's gotta be worth a go, right?

Breaks the AV Cable?
Not sure quite what you mean when you "left the screen on", but did you leave the AV cable plugged in while you were "cooking" your 360, because I'm sure that's probably not a good idea...
It's definitely a risky strategy to try and bring a machine to life, but it works suprisingly often it would seem...

does the xbox get messed up after 5 days after using the towel trick???

i'm sure it varies from machine to machine (just like how long you have until it first red rings...), but Steve's lasted a decent while... although I don't think he played any more on it and just traded it in or something, not sure what happened with it.
It's probably not a permenant solution, but in this case I think it was a great way to fix a problem Microsoft won't fix, and then if that develops into a red ring problem, then it can be fixed... such a complicated process!
