For the last 3 years, Climate Denial Crock of the Week has been helping viewers around the planet understand the most critical issue of our time. global climate change,

More and more of the world's best climate experts have become viewers, advisors, and supporters of this series. They help me access the best, most current information available.

And now, with your help, Climate crocks is ready to take things to a whole new level.

This summer, I've been invited to join a research team at the front lines of climate science, to help document one of the most visible and important impacts of climate change - the steady erosion of mountain glaciers. To do that, I'm launching a three week funding drive to help me travel to one of North AMerica's most important mountain glaciers, in the pacific northwest.

My host and guide will Dr. Mauri Pelto, one of the world's most respected and experienced glacier experts. For 30 years, Dr Pelto has been studying and profiling the decline of dozens
of glaciers in the Cascades range.
We'll be traveling to Easton Glacier on Washington's mt Baker - an active volcano. There I'll
learn from and document Dr Pelto's work as he takes measurements, makes observations, and collects data, - the boots on the ice, bedrock foundation of the best current science.
We'll also stop along the way to learn what we can from local experts.

This can only work if my viewers help out.

From now until midnight, Friday July 13th, I'll be running an online crowd-funding campaign thru kickstarter.com - I'm betting and hoping that my viewers
will be willing to kick in to help me join Dr Pelto and his team, and get some great gifts as part of the deal.

Leave it to the anti-science crowd to knock on an expert scientist.

He and his crew are the ArctiRow of Glaciology. Stuck in an advancing glacier with no story to tell but that it's darn cold up there for mid Summer and the skiing was great. Suckers.

I would suggest that having written about 17 critically acclaimed books, including several best sellers, over the past 20 years earns him a pretty good living. That, on top of a large number of literary awards, lends a great deal of credence to his opinions.
