In 1966, 30 years after Stephen Slesinger introduced Winnie-the-Pooh to the marketplace, The Walt Disney Company produced a theatrical cartoon featurette. But it was Stephen Slesinger who took the stories of Winnie-the-Pooh, Christopher Robin, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit and Owl from the nursery bookshelf and made them known! Winnie-the-Pooh marionette performances on Broadway and Winnie-the-Pooh phonograph records in 1932, radio broadcasts in 1933, Winnie-the-Pooh motion pictures in 1935, films in 1947, and a Winnie-the-Pooh television broadcast on NBC's The Shirley Temple Show in 1959.
