The Longhorns' Jordan Shipley - Singer and Songwriter

The 23 year old #8 Wide Receiver for the Texas Longhorns shows off his musical talents.

This video debuts his song "This guitar and you", an original composed in his 1'st year of being sidelined.

Jordan is not only the most phenomenal wide receiver in the entire NCAA league, but he is a very talented musician.
Mack Brown along with some Texas teammates including none other than the legendary quarterback himself, Colt McCoy, discuss his long road from picking up a guitar, to becoming not only a phenom on the field, but a contender in music.

He had a 5.9 (Pre AP/AP) GPA, equivalent to a 3.9 GPA in high school - graduated in the top 7% of his High School class, studied human economics, and made a near perfect score on his SAT's.

He's a certified genius by definition.

yeah and i've watched him talk at press conferences many times. the guy is another forrest gump. he can barely sputter out a sentence. i could be wrong. but i don't believe for a second that he 'earned' such grades if it wasn't for his athletic ability.

You can't 'cheat' on an SAT, and the test itself is graded through a machine -- not human.

He's a certified genius, and has proved it many times.

You do realize he's designed and executed (Aeronautics) for NASA before, right?

Also, a 2320 on an SAT is one of the best scores ever obtained on an SAT by an athlete.

He is a very smart man. Period.

@travis2x I don't get what you are saying, he's a pretty smart guy. Granted he probably didn't have to do much work in college, seeing how a lot of colleges just pass atheltes through and they enroll in "easy" classes that are made just for them. Ever read the Charlotte Simmions book by Tom Wolfe that REALLY happens! But he still had a great SAT score which is soeting you CAN'T cheat or pass through on!

@travis2x I don't personally have his test scores, and neither do you, but i at least have seen information from people who have. If you don't have a primary source, the best thing you can get is a secondary source. And according to the NCAA, he finished 3rd in the country for the scholar athlete of the year in 2009, behind Myron Rolle (a rhodes scholar) and somebody else (i don't remember who). He was also in the running for the Senior Bowl's scholar athlete of the year, which rolle also won
