Thanks, yeah I know about the digital setting as I noticed that with my standard gyro and read up on it.
Great to hear it sorts it though :-)

@FR4Pilot cool, thanks for the heads up.

Nice flyin' The 401 is great, nothing better than a well behaved tail :-) Like that version of the pic in pic too. Looks great !

@jasmine2501 Wow - thank you very much. That's really good to know ;) BTW - my tail grip head came off without incident. Maybe because I didn't try using the Allen wrenches that come with the B400. Now to clean up the shaft & parts and carefully re-assemble - thanks!

Ive just picked up my Blade 400, and ive spent some time making sure the tail is set up perfect. However, it still likes to wander slightly and doesnt fill me with confidence.
Ive just ordered a gy401, and i too was wondering about using the standard servo.
Does your tail hold rock steady now then?

@CaptainCarling My Heli's tail held great with the stock servo and the GY401 (make sure the gyro is set for STD not Digital mode or you'll fry the stock servo).

fr4, looks pretty good man. I just ordered a gy401 for my blade but was unsure if the stock tail servo would work with it. Your vid deffinatley answered the question. Have you tried any 3d with this setup? I realize this is an old vid so if you have any pointers on what changes you have made since this vid would be appreciated.
keep up the great flyin.

@evilsin29 I only did some inverted and flips later last year with this setup. The GY401 and DS75H seemed to work fine together for that type of flying. A lot of people bash the DS75H's but I had great luck with them until my first crash which stripped two of them - but to be fair I did crash. I recently picked up a 5084 for around $40 from Atlanta Hobby - will be putting that on as soon as I finish testing my $10 Corona DS-919MG that's currently on there.

@FR4Pilot thanks for the response. I too had a crash that resulted in stripping all gears, but I just opted to replace the gears. Honestly, I don't see the point in putting hard core servos in a learners bird. I do eventually plan on upgradeing the tail servo just so I can have a more soldid tail.
Once again, thanks.

@evilsin29 - Amen on not using hard core servos yet - I'm no where near needing those either ! Just be sure you set the GY401 to STD (not digital mode) if you use the stock DS75H servo. It's a digital servo, but it's not compatible with normal digital servo pulse rates (it's a slow digital which will burn up if you set the gyro to digital mode).
