Usually they buried bodies every where behind these asylums. Most has been experimented on. Some even to test chemical warfare. This si why the government lets most of them sit and rot. They do not want anyone digging up the boddies and finding out their secret

i live in that subdevision and its not haunted. the writeing was done by sum kids a wile back in the fall. also half a mile away there is a sears wearhouse and all nite there is banging noises and sounds commin from the forklifts and what not. its all in what you want to believe i sapose

The writing was done by Kristyn Vinikour. There are no ghosts at Manteno.

Gennie was my grandmother and the hydrotherapy room with the tubs was not her graffitti written on the tubs that was done by a bunch of morons. The room is still there but they took the tubs out. The toilets are there but no sinks.

Yeah I agree that the words written on the wall were not written by Gennie. It was a photographic project by Kristyn Vinikour. It supposedly was based on the mythical "Gennie" The writing has been painted over for more then a couple of years. Its pointless to go out there. Most of the buildings are long gone or being reused. At least a third of the hospital is in use by the VA. As far As I know the Morgan building is the only vacant structure out there.

I live out there I have been in one of the buildings it is haunted u can hear them trying to tlk to u and scream yes there haunted I cheer over there

How could she be your grandmother? Did she get married or get pregnant with your parent? I found her story was very interesting yet very tragic!!!!!! It is so hard to believe that some parents would do that to their own child by taking them to the hospital and leave them there!

I supose you may belive its not haunted but i owned one of the buildings and i can tell u it is haunted out there! I know im a hunter and i have proof its haunted.

a buddy of mine bought a house in that sub division, supposedly it's built over where the morgue used to be... i went out there for the first time this weekend.. and found out about the supposed hauntings of this hospital... being a fan of paranormal activity, i find this pretty interesting stuff
