    Have not used the MXL 4000 yet. MXL is a hit and miss company for me. Some of their mics are really great for the money, and some are awful. Will have to check out the 4000 one day.

    How does the rode nt1a stack up is there one in your collection?? Ive only heard amazing things from people about these mics... but Your obviously a pro!

  • I used The NT1 once and thought it was OK, but have never heard a Rode mic that is on par with the Shure KSM32

  • ok im going to follow you i have a studio i want to upgrade it. i do vocal and mastering so i dont want to buy cool gear just the best and outboard rules protools is cool but my ears say have fun on the out side. after all hits come from tube. need gear going from a home studio to a pro studio.

  • Ronan I came into a lot of money and I would like to know about some equiptment for a studio Im thinking about buying some Bae 1073 or neve 1073 and universal audio 2-610 or any other great gear that u can reccomend Also looking for some good compressors manley vari-mu ect
