the My Lai massacre where the US army in Vietnam slaughtered 500 unarmed civilians, many women and children.

Some victims were sexually abused, beaten, tortured, maimed and mutilated.

Three U.S. servicemen who made an effort to halt the massacre and protect the wounded were sharply criticized by US Congressmen, received hate mail, death threats and mutilated animals on their doorsteps. Only 30 years after the event were their efforts honored.

American media first claimed 100 had been killed in a fierce fire fight.

  • @sopradarnota an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind

  • history is written by the victor

  • People might have forgotten about this massacre and the victims but I haven't. My prayers to each and every one of them.

  • @Jirviss Are you a fascist or something?

  • There was a documentary about this, and it went and found the soldiers who took part in this. Every soldier they went to that took part in this had psychological issues. They were driven with guilt. They knew in their minds they were just following orders, but they knew in their hearts that what they did was wrong.

But there was a man who disobeyed orders. Went to military prison. He has no issues. He knew that disobeying that order was the right thing to do, and it was.

  • blockedparty wtf are you a fucking traitor or something

  • @traninfo Hue was a sneak attack, not a massacre. It was called the Tet offensive for a reason. They didn't go around and raping women and children and ripping their limbs and vagina apart like the Disgusting Americans. This was a civil war. The men of the north fought the men of the south. Women and children were the victim, not the target. The hundred of thousands of bombs the US dropped killing millions of civilian. Even now American are committing war crime in the Mid East.

  • Back then white people in the US hanged blacks, so killing and raping Vietnamese women and children was nothing out of the ordinary for them. They put Japanese in camps, and racially abuse non-whites and Asian in America. So I think My Lai was the tip of the iceberg of the war crimes committed by the American. the American killed more civilians than anyone else in the Vietnam war. There were more American bombs dropped in Vietnam than in WWII, killing 3 million people.
