  • @coldplay4ever1 they are the best strings I have ever used!!!!!

  • Yepp he didnt play on gibson from the first time, ED ROMAN told it, that someone built him that guitar.

  • @dan95brantner No they aren’t best for anything. I can name 100 players who use them religiously who never play in drop D.

  • Wher is the rest of the conversation?

  • I like how both the top comments are about porn XDD

  • You really need to read the sheet? Really?

  • @PapaLesPaul Thanks for the advice. I had put the 10's back on (well, the top three strings), but I didn't care for the thinner sound. I put the 11's back on the next day. I've cut back to playing about an hour a day, and 4 - 6 hours on the weekend, so my fingers are toughening up.

I use a strat-style guitar, but I think Santa's bringing me an Epi Les Paul Standard. The shorter scale length (like Slash uses) will have less string tension, so the 11's should feel better, esp. tuned down 1/2 step

  • I've switched to the 11's, since I've seen this interview. I love the heavier tone, but bending the first and second strings are a killer. My fingers aren't too happy with me.

  • Ernie Ball Power Slinkys are the best for Drop D!

  • ClearTone size 9 are very good.
