This is part one of two videos. This fish house is sitting upside down on the bottom of Forest Lake in Minnesota. It is 8'-6" wide by 12' long by 11' high. The house has two double windows and one of the double windows is broken. The window is too small to get in without taking my buoyancy compensator off. The door is a commercial grade aluminum door and it is locked. I finally gained access (in the second video) by going through the wall. I found a 5' wrecking bar on the bottom near the house. The house is sitting in 17' deep water.

  • Which lake of Forest Lake is this on (1,2, or 3) I live in F.L. and fish the lake frequently.

  • @Ko0lstuff

It was on the 3rd lake. Know of any other possible dive sites on the lake?

  • looks like a old gas stove or lantern inside. Almost looking like whatever it was landed up right which is odd lol. Pretty kool. Ya there alot of stuff in minnesota lakes. There is a old steam tractor and thrashing machine attached in lake marion mn. I assume someone tried crossing during winter on the ice and fell through.

Which lake Marion is that? Is that the one by Alexandria? Have you actually dove on the steam tractor and threshing machine? There are so many wives tales about different things that are supposed to be in the bottom of our lakes. I like to weed out the "not likely" sites prior to driving to the corners of the state just to find nothing. I have found quite a few things that haven't seen the light of day for many, many years. I obviously would like to find a lot more.

  • green lake in spicer mn has an old steam train underwater, the locals have told me I guess they used to have winter ice castle building and put tracks out on the ice, one year it fell through, the lake is very deep though 110 foot at the max

  • in lake carlos minnsota we found 2 snowmobiles from the 70s and a dead moose on the bottom of the lake it was pretty creepy.

  • @scubapony Where abouts is this sunken shack on the 3rd lake? I fish the 3rd lake the most and I'd like to check it out!

And nope, haven't really heard about any other dive sites in Forest Lake, but if you find any in the future, be sure to post a video! very interesting!

  • @scubapony My Grandfather which has passed away maybe 15 years ago said during late fall early winter a big blizzard was coming to the area. And the speed steam tractors move. The farmer thought the ice was thick enough to take a shortcut across the north end of the lake instead of going around, The thrashing machine was to heavy and broke through pulling the steam tractor with it. The farmer got away but his 2 black lab dogs did not.

  • @scubapony No lake Marion between brownton and Hutchinson. I never dove down to look at it. I have a under water camera on a cable called aqua-vu I can see the steam tractor and thrashing machine on it's side. It is like a steam engine big huge iron wheels. I first learnt of it fishing. Snagged my lure on it and broke my line. Told my father about it and he said. Yup you got it caught on the steamer. And He told me the story how it got down there.
