Most of us would say we have suffered in the past or are suffering right now to some degree... whether the hardship you bear is a result of illness, persecution, financial stress, difficult relationships or even your own weakness, the good news is that there is unlimited help on how to walk with wisdom and grace in the midst of your suffering... specifically in the epistle of I Peter. Here is a quick excerpt from Andy sharing what he is learning from Peter's letter that was addressed "to those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout... who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood; May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure." (1 Peter 1:1-2)

  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (May 15, Easter 4), 1 Peter 2:19-25 was our New Testament Lesson (or Epistle) of the Day. Maybe you can do a talk on this passage in the future.
