Its a shame a book biography of Forster isn't avaliable, there is a recent one for Arthur Greiser published in english.

Simply stated: Greiser's extermination policy stemmed from insecurity and a desperate need to have his previous image as a Free mason erased. Forster was an early supporter of Nazi ideology and always put forth this assertion. greiser loathed the Poles because he was born on the border of German/Polish territory, which after WWI the Poles had acquired. Forster was an ambitious and equally draconic ice to Greiser's fire.
