  • @toonuraccoon Steph nails it, one of my favorite DKM covers!

  • I had the pleasure to experience this live in 2004 :) Thanks again for a great vid!

  • @poguemahone1969 As did I! It was awesome. I have a live video of this somewhere. Found some new DKM stuff that hasn't been posted yet, it'll be up soon!

  • Great cover by a great band.

Of course, nothing beats Shane and Kristy.

  • @ChimeraAZ Not sure. It's possible, but his singing sounds close to that normally.

  • fucking xmas

  • Only good Irish can sing this song. When they were fucking drunken. But this is the best cover I ever heard.

  • Poxxy impression

  • He's sure trying to sound like Shane, isnt he. Never gonna happen.Shane's always going to be the best,..ever. :) I hope you dont mind me saying.

  • It's amazing that a song with the lyrics "You scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy faggot..." could be such a beautiful Christmas song. Pretty sweet cover -- not quite as good as the original Pogues & Kirsty MacColl version, but still great.

  • Al Barr sounds kinda like Shane McGowan at times throughout the song

  • Best cover I've heard of this song. But nothing beats the original.

  • shite band

  • This is rubbish.

Shane was drunker than this half the time and it still sounded better.

    XO

  • Merry f*cking Christmas

  • Look, I love DKM enough to name my second boy Murphy....but leave this song to Shane - you could never match it.

  • Better cover version than that abomination by Ronan Keating and Moya Brennan.

They should really do a studio version of this to make it a bit clearer, but Barr's vocals still need to be rough, it's why the song works, gruff male voice, soft lilting female voice.

  • Your fella sounds like Fat Bastard from Austin Powers if he was in a drunken karaoke contest

  • Not bad. - The Originator.

  • @MontrealExposForever Yes indeed. Respect and love.

  • No Use For A Name ;) nuff said

  • video? what video? great song tho

  • Boy, what was that? I guess the Pogues should be honored that every third-grad punk band is trying at their songs.

  • They always do the best covers.

  • @jrack13 I agree, i prefer NUFANS take on it, this is almost too similar, but nothing could beat the pogues original

  • i like nufan's cover better

  • this is terrible, almost killed the song, the girls voice is way to rough and the guy is off tune and nobody knows the song, just sad
