As far as the Bible goes, there are laws that are only for the priests, some for women, many for the Jews, and some for all people. The prohibition of homosexuality is for everyone. It doesn't make any sense to say Leviticus provides a 'biblical argument' against homsexuality when it falls amongst the same bunch of ridiculous old testament laws you described. The only other place in the bible homosexuality is even discussed is a) the fall of Sodom and Gomorrah, where the seven deadlies had consumed the populace (eg. lust, hetero & homo) and b) Paul in the New Testament, who was fairly misogynist in his own right.
