***PLEASE READ***
Our apologies to the Westmans. The clip we had of their beautiful handcrafted Bowed Psalteries and Dulcimers did not come out well and didn't do these amazing instruments justice. Please stop by their web site where you can find info, pictures, CD's and more.

www.westmaninstruments.com

We thank Psaltrio for granting us permission to use their music.

Songs in order are:
The Water Is Wide
Loch Lomond
The Parting Glass
You can find these songs as well as 13 more just as wonderful on their CD "The First Time"

Please check out Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia

http://www.tamarackwv.com

and if you're ever cruising through Beckley, West Virginia take Exit 45 on I-77, it's worth the stop.
We were only able to show you a portion of what they have to offer. There's also plenty of regional cuisine and music!

  • I love all the folk art things! Those rocks were stunning.

  • They had some beautiful things. The video really didn't do those rocks justice, they really were quite amazing.

  • Big place with all kinds of beautiful things to look at! I think I'd be there for hours...:-) Enjoyed the music too! Off to go and see the site! :-) xoxoxo

  • It's an easy place to get lost in and stay for hours too. The music is wonderful. Wish the video of the instruments would have turned out better so we could have shown them too. Beautiful!

  • Made in the USA~~WOOT~~

Simply beautiful craftsmanship and I sooooo want one of those quilts, and a basket, and a rocking chair, and some pottery, and....well, can ya tell I loved this;-)

    xoxo

  • Bring a U-Haul.

Or maybe you could talk a truckdriver into taking it home for you.

You really can drop a ton of cash in the place. It would probably take a couple of days to pick out a rocking chair, there were so many styles to choose from.

  • Then you would really love it there. They had everything from traditional patterns to art quilts. We didn't even show them all.

  • It was probably there then, you just missed it. ;-)

It was easy to find now, there are signs along I-77 about every 2 - 5 miles.

Sunny has this magnetic draw that pulls her to cool places. LOL

  • That one was absolutely stunning in person.

Didn't walk out with any on hand, just on video. LOL

  • The video quality doesn't even come close to showing just how beautiful they were. It is remarkable what people can do with scraps of fabric.
