The pharmaceutical industry are filled with hucksters/charlatans.Over 65000 lawsuits within 6 years against the drug industry for fraud and deaths.Drugs like Vioxx,Accutane,Avandia,Actos,P­axil,Zyprexa,Yaz,Ritalin,Proza­c etc.Dr.Barbara Starfield of the AMA Journal reported that over 106000 deaths per year occur from properly prescribed drugs and side effects.The allopathic doctors are scamming people.Recently they prescribed Actos for diabetes but the side effects are bladder cancers.Con men !

@lopezjo What rubbish. Eat decent home cooked food that is heavy on the veg and move more. That is all that most of us need to do. Vitamins are not needed then and the detox industry is a con industry. Big Pharma has two sides one sells stuff that is regulated and tested and for the most part works. The other side of big Pharma is the Woo Woo Homoeopathy and supplements industry they are the bigger villains in my book as all the sell is lies.

I cured my acid reflux after finding out the cause was from my liver. After 2 coke liver flushes, I no longer get reflux. I still do flushes to make sure I stay healthy though.

Do your research people! There is alternatives!! But they aren't at your doctor's office!

Basically it comes down to individual choice due to the severity of his/her symptoms.If a person is truly suffering from some form of mental illness and meds help alleviate the symptoms,of course the person is going to prefer staying on medication.Especially if the side effects are tolerable.Maher's view point on psych meds would have been fine,if only he made clear he was speaking for himself (as well as other ppl who cannot empathize with what they don't understand).
