A tribute cover song for one of my most favorite musicians, Mr. Alan Parsons. Sorry for the duplicity of having previously posted a version of Eye In The Sky, but with the help of Tim and Mark this version has an actual rhythm section in the mix and greatly surpasses my previous effort, plus we were able to include the entire song medley with the opening track called Sirius which has always caused me to have chills up and down my spine. Besides that, Tim and Mark's flawless performances took this up several notches for me personally. Tim's "rock-steady" drum track coupled with Mark's excellent bass and keyboard tracks made me sound like I really knew what I was doing, which is always a great pleasure. I really love working with these guys because the results are always quite pleasing.

This medley was also more or less of a trial for Mark's new Pro Tools program which he used to perform his excellent production work. He has joked to us that people on his job refer to him as "Mr. Wizard" and Tim and I can certainly understand how he would have earned such a moniker. It is intriguing to me that the first song I ever recorded with Mark (and EMP) was the TSO song titled "Wizards In Winter" HAHAHA. Mark is not just a seasonal wizard and you can visit his channel for the proof. I can never thank Mark enough for his great friendship and for all of his excellent work.

And I would be totally remiss if I didn't brag a little bit about my "CUZ". Tim has been a real inspiration for me over the course of the past year or so since we began making our collaborations. We have put our heads together and made several audio tracks of some of our favorite classic tunes from the 60's and 70's...unfortunately we do not have videos to go with most of them. It all really began as an experiment to see if we could actually pull it off, but the results we've achieved together have been very pleasing to us both. Since that time other online musicians have reached out to him to help out with their recordings and this is very exciting for me. He is very intense and constantly pushes the edge of his own personal envelope to improve his skills which is reflective in the tracks he produces...and this is very attractive to others who want to make a great track. Cuz, thank you for hitting me up last year at the family reunion about doing this...you kick serious booty!

  • It is SO nice to see and hear you again, SilverHamer. I am in awe at the talent and expertise you three showed in this recording. 100 stars! (Question: Why only one "m" in Hamer?)

  • Hi mudhens4ever. My screen name is sort of a play on words. Being a life-long Beatles fan, of course it reminds you of Maxwell's Silver Hammer, but I have silver hair and play Hamer guitars and so that is the origin of my screen name. I guess there is only 1 'm' in Hamer because that is how Paul Hamer's ancestors spelled their name. :D Thanks for your comment. LC

  • best cover of the song I ever heard, well done!

  • Hey again, sweet vocals!!! You and your friends are truly wonderful players, this sounds awesome!!!

Also, I have 6 of the original first year, vinyls, they are the pride of my vinyl collection. :)

  • Nice work guys, though its obvious in their symbolistic artwork on their album covers that they were into the esoteric stuff. Some might even accuse them of being among the illuminati puppets in the media circus. The lyrics to this song are very striking too.

  • You old guys seriously rock

  • i like this. Wish it showed you playing instead of pictues. Never did get around to my John Fogerty I wanted.... oh well. Hope your doing well.
