Thank you for all of your help and the knowledge you have provided for free. If I ever get CF I will buy your sound compendium for sure! I know you put in alot of time to learn this stuff yourself... we are lucky!

Zion (and Jamotheg8 too!)... you're welcome! Glad to help.

A small vibration motor shouldn't "eat up" much current, although it depends (quite naturally) upon the motor.
For ones that are "best" for sabers... I'd say a good example of current range would be 20mA to 60mA. In other words, it wouldn't take much more than an "indicator LED" or maybe two of them.

I have an anakin mr saber and construction set can i insert the crystal focus replacing the old or is it more complicated because i cant find any sabers with crystal focus for sale anywhere
totizedger 1 year ago
@totizedger Indeed, it would be more complicated than that, I'm afraid...
As to Crystal Focus boards... yup, they are tough to come by, but soon enough, a new release should be coming.
Either way, you'd want some rudimentary soldering & electronics skills in order to use such an electronics board.
If you're looking to add a vibration motor to your existing saber--it IS possible. You still would need basic electronics & soldering skills...

Moo--it's a tough question... although I suppose you should try to find any of the "Joe Jedi" Force FX kits (SW-616 was the MR part # I think)... or Force FX boards/sabers that have been used.
Another slightly "worse" option would be the Hasbro toy sabers you can buy for like $10 to $25 each, and you'd simply disassemble it all and utilize the board. Retrofit... ya know?
I solely use Crystal Focus and "Force FX" board... or... no sound (thus far).
