Heh. Thatnks for the consideration. I do find the subject very fascinating. I'd just like to be able to appreciate it without getting motion sickness. :-P
It's still awesome, though. :-)

Very interesting article. :-) I have to admit I scanned the article rather than reading it in depth, but despite the image of R2D2 projecting a cat into the air, I think the kind of holograms they describe; the image is -in- the hologram, not floating above it or away from it. I understand a bit about the laser interference pattern that creates a hologram, and I'm not sure how that would translate to 4D. The Visa sticker -is- a real hologram, btw (I think). :-) Just a really little one.

well, I don't mean a holographic sticker like the one's you'd see on a visa... I mean a true three dimensional hologram like tinyurlDOTcom/mb4u62
Okay, this is like the 5th tesseract/hypercube I've watched, and I feel utterly nauseous. I propose a rule: Rotate either in 3 dimensions or the 4th at a time. Not both at once. Now, if you'll excuse me, *BLEGH*.

Heheh. I'm sorry that these vids are making you sick. Some people react that way to them, you are not the first. When I get some time perhaps I will go through some of the better ones and do as you propose. :-)

so is the bitruncated tesseract is the truncated 16-cell?
SharkRetriver 2 years ago
Not quite. :-) The bitruncated tesseract is the same as the bitruncated 16-cell. Look up "Uniform Polychora" on Wikipedia for a great article on how this works. :-)
