Lady Solveig Throndardottir teaches a class at the SCA event Pennsic each year on Kyōgen - a Japanese comedic theatre built from improvisation around a short scenario outline often using stock character types. When possible, students of the class practice and perform a few plays.

Pennsic XXXVI in 2007 was my first year involved. We performed three plays for family night at Clan Yama Kaminari (the Japanese persona camp).

Obviousily we are not professionals - true Kyōgen is mastered by centuries long family lineage troupes in Japan.

This play is called "Tsurigitsune" - "Fox Fishing" or "Fox Trapping".

Please also see the other two plays from this performance:
"Utsubo'zaru" ("The Monkey and the Hunter"
"Busu" ("Poison")
