A Red Line train leaves the upper level of Metro Center station headed to Shady Grove. From the head-end, the train consists of four Breda rehabs, and two Breda 4000-Series cars.

  • damn the camera is almost off the platform

  • Yeah, by the looks of it, I'm probably standing on the granite edge (where the red lights are). I've been known to do that in the side-platform stations when I am positive that no train is coming in my direction.

  • @schuminweb oh ok. true. plus u got the info whn trains come. The vids u make, r they on weekends cause there r few trains on weekends?

  • This particular video was made fairly late on a Friday night a week or so before Christmas. Trains were running about every ten minutes or so, I'd guess.

Also, DC has an information system on the platforms that shows the number of minutes before a train arrives. Thus one can know with some certainty when a train is coming.

  • @schuminweb Ya i know about the info whn a train comes. I live near DC and i ride Metro every couple months

  • Of course, the Breda cars have been modified by Alstom. If you go inside one of them, you'll see that the interior is quite similar to the inside of the CAF cars. Although when you look at the interior overhead sign at the front ends of those cars, the sign has a thick border. The signs you see in the CAF cars have thin borders.

  • i like the sounds of the rehab bredas and hte alstom 6000
