Just a short clip idling and reving my bone stock 150,000 mile 1992 5.0L Mustang with Hellion turbo. The heads have never been lifted so it's a ticking time bomb. The mods are: 62mm Turbonetics turbocharger piped together with Hellion Power Systems components (thanks John Urist), 1.7 rockers, Cobra intake, 70mm TB and single 3.5 inch one chamber Flowmaster. The rear tires are M/T drag radials (275/50/15s). The kit was pretty straight forward and went in with hand tools. I did it all in my garage over a few weekends with a little help from my buddy Ryan on the last day (thanks Ryan). The system produces 10 PSI and was dyno tuned at Panhandle Performance by Mark Biddle. This kit has been a lot of fun, but the entire stock driveline is on borrowed time. It made 538 lb/ft to the wheels and horsepower was a decent 444.6 to the wheels. This summer the turbo is coming off and a new engine combination will be going in while it's in my garage. I will fabricate the kit to go on my Gen 1 Lightning.
@shundal17 Thanks man! The kit is awesome and the install wasn't bad. The boost comes on low, but you really feel the pull from 3 grand up. At 2500 rpms mine made 400 lb/ft of torque to the wheels so it's pulling hard down low. I drove the car for a while with no mods to the chassis and it did flex, but not too bad. The only thing I've done to the chassis is a 12 point roll cage and that was MORE than enough. Call it excessive, but it's insurance.
