My fishing poles

These are my fishing poles, I have a Extreme xps baitcaster on a Shakespeare Ugly stick 6'6" m action, My other rod is a Team Diawa Td-Pro 3500 spinning reel on a Shimano Compre 7' m fast action, and last but not least I have a Shimano Citica 200e inshore baitcaster on an Extreme xps trigger rod 6'6" med-heavy fast action rod. whats the difference if you get a 7 foot rod vs a 6'6 rod? and also whats the difference from a reel thats a 2500 and a 3500??

more sensitivity and can vary on the lures you choose. 2500 to 3500 means more line capacity and heavier line can be used.

@johnnymohani also the longer rod allows you to cast farther, but the shorter rod is more forgiving (more accurate for shorter distances, i.e. skipping docks - the exception would be that you want a long rod to flip/pitch). You also get better hooksets with the longer rod (more tip speed when you set the hook)

as far as reels, that's almost always just the size of the reel. larger numbers = holds more line, but also weigh more so you don't want them on smaller rods

i prefer shakespeare rods and reels you could take them to hell and back with out a scratch
