Bernabe Conception vs Steven Luevano

Pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao is not the only Filipino who will be seeing action in the May 2 mega boxing card dubbed "East vs West" in MGM Grand Las Vegas Nevada.

8countnews.com learned that fast rising Filipino pug Bernabe Concepcion of Jaro Boxing Stable who just won the World Boxing Council International featherweight belt last January 11 in Araneta Coliseum, will challenge American Steven Luevano for the latter's World Boxing Organization featherweight belt.

"Yes, we have sealed the deal for Concepcion to fight Luevano in May 2 as the main appetizer of the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton" showdown," said Concepcion's handler Aljoe Jaro in a telephone call to 8countnews.com yesterday. Jaro was in Cebu where he broke the news immediately after he had spoken with Bob Arum of Toprank which promotes his ace fighter.

"My original plan was to put up a March 22 card in Araneta where "Abe" (Concepcion's nickname) would defend his WBC Int'l title but I was advised by Bob to forgo that plan because he might suffer an injury, and that could hurt Abe's chances on May 2."

The planned Luevano-Concepcion duel promises fireworks noting that the two, who have an amazing combined record of 64-2-32 KOs are known for their respective knock out power and explosive fighting styles.

@gallardo92790 because they have no lives to speak of. their women don't want them, they have no jobs, no future. so a group collects a few pesos, runs down to the local internet cafe and talk shit as a whole. santiago is probably going to school concepcion. he fought leuvano to a disputed draw many thought he won. concepcion bit off more than he can chew. let's just hope he doesn't resort to amateur antics in his next fight too lol.
