It´s really funny that so many has left a comment, and it have been watched by so many!
Chobits was the first anime I watched, so it means a lot to me. This was also the first amv I created. It´s a few years old now, though. Maybe I will "upgrade" it someday;P

The meaning of the switch represents the question Chii asks throughout the series: Who is the person just for me? Since Hideki is "The Person just for Her", only he is allowed to touch (or in the way Freya called it, enter) her.
All of the other persocoms have switches behind or inside the ears. Only Freya & Elda (aka: Chii) had their switch placed in that spot. Although, it's true that you can pretty much say Hideki is the only person whom can turn her on (put that into context if you want).
