I love that peace kit man
-
yes, in a way, it's a "portable" set, and he is "playing" it, as you can see it.

cocktail kits were first introduced in the late 30's and 40's and were used by the gigging drummer of that era when they played small cramped cocktail lounges and bars, hence the name cocktail kit !! the extended floor tom acts as both floor and kick .... i have played with these kits before and didn't have to always stand up..i used a bar stool and it worked nicely.. !!

originally make for playing cocktail parties, where musicians have very little room to situate, so yes you stand to play
-
the cocktail set is meant for smaller venues. which is why you stand when playing.

do u have to put your own snare on it or does it come like that i cant find with one on it
-
Ha! I heard that kit burnin' up the air waves at Pinhook in Durham! :)

i dont know much about cocktail kits this is the first time i have seen one. are you standing up while you play that? what is the point of a cocktail kit as apposed to a regular one?
the difference between regular drums and this is that when u play this... u hold a cocktail drink on your hand and drink while playing...
