Another practice round of the 2011 IAC Primary Sequence.
The video goes like this: 3 wing wags to start, 45 degree upline, one turn spin, 1/2 Cuban 8, loop, 180 degree turn, roll and one final wing wag to end.
This video is meant to show the aerobatic potential of the Van's RV-7 and to glean constructive criticism from aerobatic pilots.
Hope you enjoy it.
Nice video, what speed are you using for your aileron roll? Are you staying below VA (120 odd knots)?

The speed for the aileron roll is about 135 knots or so. It isn't critical. If done correctly the roll is a 1 G manoeuvre. Entry speed for the loop and half cuban is in the 150 - 155 knot IAS range. I only worry about Va if it's a full deflection figure or super rough turbulence. Glad you liked the video

very nice what speed are you entering the spin at? and what speeds for the cuban& loop
wfojetmech 10 months ago
Spin entry is basically the stall speed, around 55 knots indicated. Entry speed for the loop and cuban is about 150 - 160 knots indicated. The loop and cuban start with a 3.5 G pull, 0 G over the top and the a 3.5 G pull at the bottom
