Another practice round of the 2011 IAC Primary Sequence.

The video goes like this: 3 wing wags to start, 45 degree upline, one turn spin, 1/2 Cuban 8, loop, 180 degree turn, roll and one final wing wag to end.

This video is meant to show the aerobatic potential of the Van's RV-7 and to glean constructive criticism from aerobatic pilots.

Hope you enjoy it.

  • Nice video, what speed are you using for your aileron roll? Are you staying below VA (120 odd knots)?

  • The speed for the aileron roll is about 135 knots or so. It isn't critical. If done correctly the roll is a 1 G manoeuvre. Entry speed for the loop and half cuban is in the 150 - 155 knot IAS range. I only worry about Va if it's a full deflection figure or super rough turbulence. Glad you liked the video

  • very nice what speed are you entering the spin at? and what speeds for the cuban& loop

  • Spin entry is basically the stall speed, around 55 knots indicated. Entry speed for the loop and cuban is about 150 - 160 knots indicated. The loop and cuban start with a 3.5 G pull, 0 G over the top and the a 3.5 G pull at the bottom

  • Nice panel

  • thanks for the entry speeds looks good on the acro..have you tried a 3 sec count on the down line 45 inverted before the 1/2 roll to upright on the cuban makes the spacing look better on the down line

  • nice work
