Princess Margarita of Greece and Denmark (Greek: Πριγκίπισσα Μαργαρίτα της Ελλάδας και Δανίας) (18 April 1905 -- 24 April 1981) was the eldest child and daughter of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg. She was born on the island of Corfu in Greece. She was the first great great grandchild of Queen Victoria

Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark (Greek: Πριγκίπισσα Θεοδώρα της Ελλάδας και Δανίας) (13 May 1906 -- 16 October 1969) was the second child and daughter of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg. She was born on the Greek island of Corfu.

Princess Cecilie of Greece and Denmark (Greek: Πριγκίπισσα Σεσίλια της Ελλάδας και Δανίας) (22 June 1911 -- 16 November 1937) was the wife of Hereditary Grand Duke George Donatus of Hesse and the sister of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Princess Sophie of Greece and Denmark (Greek: Πριγκίπισσα Σοφία της Ελλάδας και Δανίας) (26 June 1914 -- 3 November 2001) was the fourth child and youngest daughter of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg, making her the sister of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Sophie was born at Villa Mon Repos on the island of Corfu in Greece.

  • i assume the philip mentioned is our duke of edinbugh. there is little published in the uk. about philip's sisters nor, indeed, his mother. i seem to remember that two sisters husbands had nazi sympathies and were not invited to the wedding of philip and, our now, queen. thank you for this. alice, the mother, intrigues me.

  • @johneunson You're welcome. Ans yes, the fact they were german princesses (a big disavantage after WWII), the connection about Schloss Salem (the Baden) and nazism, Sophie's first husband was a notorious SS didn't help.
