Just before the tram turned at 0:40, if you looked left (right w.r.t. direction of tram), it is the LIC Building. It was my dad's office, 'Office of the Chief Public Relations Officer, Eastern Railway'. I got a video on this very road, but in the opposite direction: watch?v=_2cPdSasE6w (1:50)

Beautiful clip. Gives two different sides of this big city. I have not been to Kolkata but I get some idea that this is like more or less like Kanpur so far as congestion, traffic chaos and lanes and bye-lanes are concerned.
