@mcilrain Well, time is like this river, where events flow from past to future. Though in this case you're sitting on the beach making messing with the current anywhere you please in this river.
Alternately, time is the name we give to the perception of increasing entropy in the universe. This explanation is more accurate, but doesn't have a clever Achron segue.

@mcilrain well, it helps to play through and experiment on sandbox levels. I'm sorry this tutorial didn't provide enlightenment for you, though I'm not sure how else I could have explained it.

After watching this video, I feel like Terry Crews after using old spice body spray.

I... buh... what? WHAT?
Sheeet, man. First game to force you to think in four dimensions in real time.

I can just barely understand this. Do I get a PhD in temporal mechanics now?

WHAT???

thumbs up if you are going back in time within this video to try and understand again how the hell this works!

@penquinftw Hey, the time travel mechanic is best learned by experience, this tutorial is just meant to get people who think like I do into a good frame of mind to understand how the system works. Anyway, the game is $30 for 2 copies now, so you can go halfsies with a friend and that way you have a learning buddy, which is a great way to get used to any game.
How does it work on multiplayer?

@GabrielOnuris The key difference is that your opponent's player line has the same effect as your own. That is, it can propagate events across the timeline. However, if they do something and then jump to another point on the timeline, you won't know until a natural timewave comes by. This is a huge part of the information warfare in Achron.
