  • I don't know anything about Russian history, but I was very curious as to why people from sSakhalin in the videos I found on YouTube didn't look Chinese or Japanese.

  • Nivkhs, as with so many other indigenous peoples in Russia have lived in isolation for thousands of years. It is only in the last 200 years or so that they have been more in contact with other nations. So therefore they are genetically not related to Chinese or Japanese people.

  • @1969BALLER

yup, Russian Siberian indigenous people have much in common with American Indians and most probably are their direct ancestors

  • @kazakhstanmkj i think nivkh people are considered as the eurasian tribes like kazakh people do.

  • These things are so sad. We are all responsible and contribute to the global disasters of the world.

  • Nivkh people look Asiatic. What is the relationship of aboriginal people to being physical similar to Asiatic genetic relations? Does anyone know?

  • @fugazi0311 also besides Nivkhs, there is a large Korean decent on Sakhalin that came there during the World War 2.

  • @EnsembleXXI

They have been in contact with Russians for last 200 years... But the earliest mention of the Nivkh in history is believed to be a 12th century Chinese chronicle to a people called Gilyemi (Chinese: 吉列迷 Jílièmí), who were in contact with the Mongol rulers of the Yuan Dynasty of China.

  • much like American Indians

  • @Thejinan ths for your ans!!!!!!

  • @superdoctortse1984

Koreans have a bit of Haplogroup C3 which is related to Nivkhs and other peoples from Siberia.
