Trex450 pro gy520 gyro help!

I have a trex 450 pro with a gy520 gyro and I can't set the limits and if I set it on rate mode I'm able to fly the heli and the gyro will hold rock solid. But I'm losing the gain on the outside of the tail boom. If i set it on HH mode and everything at 90 the heli will drift.
